[Video] Your Entertainment Career Dream Team Part 2: Entertainment Lawyer

In Artist Management, Entertainment Law Articles, Music Law

Welcome, my name is Bob Celestin.  Welcome to another one of my videos series on legal advice for Generation DIY. In the last episode we talked about the four key members that you need as part of your Entertainment Career Dream Team.  They are managers, an entertainment attorney, an agent and a business manager.

Today, we’re talking a little bit about entertainment attorneys, like me.  Every sensible artist is going to need a great entertainment attorney.  That entertainment attorney is going to work in tandem with your manager in negotiating deals to furnish your services to third-parties, whether it’s a recording agreement, whether it’s a publishing agreement, a movie contract.  Your entertainment attorney’s going to be responsible to working in tandem with your manager to negotiate the best deal possible for you.

You want to make sure that the entertainment attorney is experienced and specializes, of course, in entertainment. You don’t want to get the real estate attorney who is your cousin negotiating your deals.  You want to make sure that you have an attorney that specializes in entertainment, has got some experience and can definitely help you and your manager take your career to the next level.

If you want anymore information check out my website, check out my news letters. My name is Bob Celestin, peace.
